Dear Friends,

Here's the rundown of events since the last letter.

With this month we will finish our 18 month stint in the West, cross the Missessp... Mrsippi...er, that big river! and be in the East for the next year-and-a-half. We just finished five weeks of meetings that were morning & evening, while flying from Arizona to Idaho to Connecticut to Canada and back to Arizona. I am a bit behind and pushing hard to catch up with my regular work.

Blind-sided!
Twenty years ago the Lord dealt with me about leaving our church to go back into evangelism. On the evening of Sept. 7, 1986, I told Kathy, “I am resigning the church this Sunday, we are going back into evangelism, and if the Lord doesn't take care of us, we're going to starve to death.” Two days later I was alone in the church at the altar, crying. I was trying to remove the church from my heart because I was leaving. Then I told the Lord, “I am going to resign this Sunday no matter what You do but if You could, just for me, if You want me back in evangelism, would You have someone call today and ask for a meeting?” A half-an-hour later my phone rang. It was my good friend, Tom Benson, pastor of First Bible Baptist Church in Plainville, CT. He said he was starting a camp meeting in July and asked if I could come and preach for it. I asked, “Tom, has the Lord ever used you for anything?” “I don't know.” “Well, He did today!”
This past July was Tom's 20th camp meeting. We got to the meeting on Wednesday evening, and I saw a projector set up. “Ah! They're going to show highlights of the last twenty years of meetings,” I thought. Then Tom got up, introduced the evening, and said, “Sam & Kathy Gipp, this night is for you.” We were absolutely blind-sided! They had done a DVD that showed portions of the last 20 years of our ministry. They even had some very rare pictures of me in my neck brace following surgery 33 years ago and of two Volkswagons that I had - one red, white & blue and the other that I had hand-painted before I got saved. Kathy cried all the way through it. It was one of the kindest things we've ever had done for us.

While I was with Pete McKenzie in Las Vegas, he had a citywide meeting in a public auditorium downtown. There were five churches represented. It went well.
The Vegas meeting must have upset the devil because he did all he could to keep us from getting there. When we were about to leave, one of our slide outs wouldn't slide back in. I took the battery out of my truck, cut the wires to the motor, and hot-wired it so we could get on the road. I walked back into the coach, and a fan fell off the ceiling. On the way there, our power step quit working. (A thousand bucks fixed it all.) Then I missed a step and would have fallen right off the platform in church, but Pastor Pete caught me. As it was I spent two days in bed from the twisting. I told Kathy we had it good. The devil had achieved nothing “life changing.” Isn't it good to serve the right God!?

Books & Tapes
We have several new items available through DayStar Publishing. David Walker has two new books - one on dispensational truth and the other for new converts. Bro. Don Alexander did an expose' on the contemporary movement called The Laodician Church. I have a five disc set of DVD's on the King James Bible.
Also, I just sent a new book to the printer that I did in conjunction with Dr. Bobby Adams. It documents and counts every Textus Receptus reading that has been reintroduced into the “critical text” as found in the Nestle-Aland and United Bible Societies' Greek New Testaments.
The We Are Americans booklet has been going out by the hundreds. Churches have been passing them out at colleges, public schools, and holiday parades.

Great News
Many of you have been praying for our nephew, Christopher Vaughan. Christopher was born with a life threatening heart condition. Other children that were born during that time with his condition all died. But YOU have been praying! This September, Christopher will be starting school at Massillon Baptist College. His folks told us he's doing better than ever. Every day he is alive he makes medical history.
Also, for those of you who have been praying for Cheryl Ager, wife of pastor Rick Ager of Chinook Baptist Church in Chinook, WA, this dear sister has had a liver transplant. While there are still some issues to be resolved she is coming along well.
Rejoice in the kindness of God but please DON'T STOP PRAYING for these folks!

By the time you read this Kathy & I will have celebrated our 34th anniversary on August 12. It has been GREAT and just gets better!

Reality...

Those perverts called “homosexual” have lost even more since the last letter. They lost court decisions in Georgia, New York, Kansas, and Massachusetts. In the real world Americans consistently reject homosexuality. Unfortunately, rather than use their brains and openly condemn homosexuality as the abomination to both God and man that it is, most Americans (including Christians) are bullied into silence by the homosexual-run News Mafia. Most Christians try to hide their cowardice by trying to claim that the battle for America is already lost. But if Christians were as brave as homosexuals they would be on school boards and city councils stopping attempts by perverts to corrupt our country.

...versus Fantasy
Of course the homosexuals running the News Mafia understand the power of suggestion. They know if they present homosexuality as though it were already victorious, most gullible Americans will accept such false reports as fact. Thus, whenever there is another defeat for their perverted co-conspirators, you can count on them to immediately issue some kind of pro-homosexual “news story” that presents homosexuality as though it were accepted behavior. No sooner did the queers lose battles in the four states mentioned above than USA Today ran a “sweetheart” story about “Gay Olympics.”
If you have allowed the News Mafia to neuter you into a cowered puppy, you are an ally of the homosexuals and are encouraging their agenda by your inaction!

The Bird Flu Fear-mongering
The latest terror weapon of the News Mafia, the dreaded “Bird Flu,” has killed only 139 people around the entire world and it took three years to do it! In 2005 the regular flu killed 38,000 people in the United States alone. Face it. You have been more concerned about the Bird Flu (Which seems to kill, of all things, birds!) than the regular flu. Ask yourself why.

We Need a “Pledge of Allegiance”
Our problems with the immigration system might be somewhat alleviated if everyone were required to repeat a “Pledge of Allegiance” to this country. In fact, as I recall, we have one of those! That's why we have it! If someone desiring to live in this country refuses to pledge their allegiance to it, they should be sent back to where they came from.
Here's an idea. A non-coward Christian gets on a local school board, gets in the face of the seated Liberals, and re-institutes our Pledge of Allegiance in public school. Or we can do nothing and just gripe about it
since that is what Christians are best at.

Beer Bigotry
An employee of Miller Brewing Co. in Racine, WI, was photographed drinking a Bud Lite. He was fired. What if General Motors fired every employee who drove a Ford or Toyota? Where is the News Mafia outcry for this “injustice?” Maybe Miller's new ads will say, “Please be a bigot responsibly.”

Meeting the 7000
Bro. David Barton
Bro. Barton is the head of Wallbuilders which is probably the best source of material about the Christian founding of this country. Bro. Barton has not yet discovered that God has an absolutely perfect Bible. But other than that, Wallbuilders is fighting hard against the forces that want your children to be homosexuals. He is doing more than his part to re-educate Americans about their biblical heritage.
Wallbuilders joined with Hobby Lobby this past July 4th and put a full age ad in USA Today that clearly illustrated the part Christianity had in the founding of this nation.

Shallow Singing
The new “Progressive” movement is developing a generation of Christians who are so shallow that they can't even sing songs with any “depth” about the Lord. They have to be treated like the children they are and sing kids' choruses. (Have you thanked your pastor for keeping the hymnals?)

When Murder is Allowed
On June 17, 2004, 34 year old Chinese Christian, Jiang Zongxiu, was arrested for passing out gospel tracts in Guizhou Province. Police took her to police headquarters and beat her to death. When citizens began to look into it, police cremated the body. As the FBI (Ruby Ridge) and the BATF (Waco) understand completely you can't do an autopsy on ashes.
These actions came from China, our “permanent favored nation” trade partner. Fortunately for these Communist Chinese murderers, this and other such human rights violations (remember the Tiananmen Square murders?) are being perpetrated by Orientals. If the leaders of China were white, like Milosevic of Bosnia, they might have to fear U.N. trials. Instead they enjoy the freedom to commit more murders while netting billions of dollars from U.S. trade.

Fight On!

George Liele (17?? - 1828)
George Liele, a black slave from Virginia, went to Jamaica as a missionary. He is remembered as America's first missionary to a foreign land. When the people in the Baptist church where Liele's master served as a deacon realized how much Liele loved the Lord and witnessed the slave's wonderful ability to explain the Scriptures, they ordained him to preach, making him probably the first ordained black preacher in America. Liele's master freed him from slavery so he could spend all his time preaching the gospel. The former slave preached in Georgia throughout the War for Independence, and in 1779 he and his follower, Andrew Bryan, founded what may have been America's first black Baptist church, in Savannah. That same year Liele went to Jamaica, hiring himself out as an indentured servant to pay his way. He preached in the streets of Kingston, Jamaica, and eventually started Jamaica's first Baptist church, which grew from four members to 500 members in eight years. Liele organized a missionary society in Jamaica that sent fifty Jamaican missionaries to Africa and about twenty Jamaicans to the United States to minister to African-Americans. George Liele went to Jamaica fifteen years before William Carey, the Father of Modern Missions, sailed from England to India, and thirty-three years before Adoniram Judson, the father of American Missions, sailed from the United States to Burma. The hymn “Zion's Hill” refers to “mortal ken” (not “kin”). “Ken” means “sight” or “vision.”

When Will It Happen?

Well, we ducked another bullet. Yep, that fateful day June 6, 2006 (better known as 06-06-06), has come and gone without the “end of life as we know it.” It joins the ranks of those other “end of life as we know it” dates that were also much heralded washouts. There was the great revolution of 1976. “Everybody knows no country has lasted more than 200 years.” Really? Ever hear of England?


Then, of course, life was going to end in 1982 when all the planets lined up. Sure enough, the planets lined up and ...nothing happened! Well, almost nothing. Something did happen. All the “Doom sayers” (both Christian and Lost) jumped to the next coming crisis without blinking.

Along came the Stock Market crash of 1989 and...here we are, doing fine.

Then the Halle-Bop comet came and went with nothing more than the loss of thirty-nine idiots who packed their bags and took poison. Do you suppose just as one of them passed out he wondered, “Now how are we going to carry these bags to the comet?” Of course not! Because such people don't think. They are convinced “the end is near.” Thus they are suckers for the next “The Sky is Falling” scenario that comes down the pike. They aren't deceived. They believe! All they need is something on which to focus their hopeless faith. And there are plenty of people in Christianity, or in a cult, or in the News Media who can manufacture the end of the world over lunch. Plus, since we now have the “World-Wide-Web” (Hmmm? Do I sense a conspiracy here? A Web!!!?), such doom-filled prophecies travel at the speed of light.

The “Mother-of-all-rumors” was that great air bubble called Y2K. (Have you eaten all your freeze-dried pizza yet? Have you ever started your generator?) Both lost and saved went screaming into the year 2000 with visions of death and disaster only to have nothing more happen than the date on their electric watches needing to be reset. (See! I told you there would be an effect!)

Of course there have been those “concentration camps” that “They” have which have been waiting for years - no, decades - for their occupants. By now I should think they are so deteriorated from age that we should be able to escape by sneezing on the walls.

The Internet was one of the devil's best tricks. Right? Although there is plenty of wickedness accessed through the Internet it has also proven to be a two-edged sword which has worked against the forces of evil with devastating effect. Examples?

1. The News Media would have buried the story about Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky, but it was disseminated over the Internet and couldn't be contained.
2. Dan Rather's fake documents about President Bush were exposed via the Internet.
3. The plagiarism of New York Times' reporter Jason Blair was exposed through the Internet.
4. The Swift Boat Veteran's for Truth's allegations against John Kerry couldn't be swept under the rug.
5. The horrible murder in Tiananmen Square couldn't be hidden by China or the News Media.
6. Despite Christian doom-sayer rumors that, “They're going to quit printing King James Bibles”, the Internet had made it so it would be impossible to prevent the downloading of the Word of God.


Don't you realize that when Adolph Hitler was elected Chancellor of Germany in 1933 that Christians of the day were predicting he was the Anti-christ and “the end is near!”? Furthermore, when Israel occupied Palestine in 1948 the Lord's return was just “six months away”?

No. No! Forget that! Don't you realize that the smartest thing the devil can do is keep Christians inactive by rumors of “the end” and arguments that “We can't change anything.”? While we are preaching the “gospels” of “Don't eat meat!”, “Don't get vaccinated!”, “Don't get a driver's license!”, “Don't put your child in Sunday School!” the devil's crowd has been using their time much more productively. They got God kicked out of school, made baby killing an industry and intend to force homosexuality on all of us. Are they more powerful than we are? No! Is their god stronger than ours? No! We are more powerful! Our God is stronger. But our force, our energy either has been wasted trying to “save” each other from some manufactured threat or has been stored in the garage of hopelessness.

So I ask you, When is “It” going to happen? No, not “it” the next stupid, cowardly, time-and-energy consuming “end of life as we know it” threat to be foisted on us. (Beware -- “Terminal Acne” is coming!) I mean “IT.” When will you realize you have, although well intentioned, been either hiding or expending your energy wrongly due to your misguided desire to see the Lord come back so badly that you fall for every phony new threat. (“Watch the Mideast! The end is near!”)

When are you going to quit jumping on every “End of the World” bandwagon and start using your energy to accomplish something for Christ?

Why don't you take a lesson from what Israel is doing in Lebanon and declare war on the devil's crowd and direct your efforts to stop them? Why? To “bring in the Kingdom?” Of course not! But we were ordered to “Occupy till I come.” We were ordered to be salt in this world. If we claim to be the “army of the Lord”, then we are duty-bound to resist and thwart the devil's plans just because it will be a fulfillment of our Divine mandate.

When is it going to happen? When are you going to give up on the “world is going to end next week” mind set and decide to make a difference in our world for Christ? When are you going to stand toe-to-toe with someone on the devil's side (rather than torpedoing your pastor) and force them to give ground instead of always slinking away like a coward because “it doesn't matter anyway?” Are you at all embarrassed at always being fooled by the newest “end of the world” scenario? What if you expended your energy trying to make a difference instead of trying to save the world from the latest conspiracy?

Look at how many times you went around yelling “The sky is falling!” only to have another day dawn. Look at how many times you were sure that, “This time this is it!” and it wasn't.

Why don't you join in fighting for this country against the enemies of Christ? (No, that's not what you've been doing.) You've been panicking at every rumor that came down the pike. You've been trying to save people from “Them.” You've been wasting your time and efforts while looking like a fool.

Instead of griping about your local city council or school board why don't you get on it and be a force for God? Why don't you target something for Christ and make a change? We've already been here longer than you thought we would. We may end up being here longer than you think we will be. Why not try to make a difference instead of making noise?
