Every December 31st, our church brings in the new year with food, fellowship, fun, and good preaching.  First we have a huge buffet dinner, featuring many styles of cooking.  Then we meet for a most unusual church service, in which our people are encouraged to perform skits, play instruments, sing songs, etc.  At 11:00, we have some old-fashioned preaching from the Word of God to ring in the new year.  After midnight, many people stick around for fun, games, and more food until the wee hours of the morning.  It's an event our church family anticipates and enjoys every year.
